Carved City Vase

This is a piece from my own collection that I am letting go after years on my mantle. I made this stoneware vase by throwing and carving the form to depict a living city on its surface. Glazed in olive green celedon , its glassy surface was enhanced by firing in my wood burning kiln. Its the perfect size for small floral displays and compliments anything put in it.
